Carlos Claussen Calvo
Carlos is a lawyer with a recognized background in Environmental and Natural Resources Law, especially in Mining Law and Water Law, areas in which he has practiced a consolidated practice both in the judicial field and in strategic project advice. He has represented national and international companies in all phases of the mining cycle, from exploration to the closure of sites, as well as in conflicts related to concessions, easements, water use and environmental compliance. He has also successfully led highly complex litigation before ordinary and arbitral courts on these same matters.
He has Masters in Mining Law (University of Atacama) and Environmental Law (University of Development) and, in addition, he has been a teacher at various universities in the country, and collaborator in master's programs in his areas of specialization. For years he was Secretary General of the National Mining Society (SONAMI) and is currently a member of the Regional Environmental Advisory Council of the Antofagasta Region.
